3rd edition winners

The WONNOW Awards consist of a cash prize of €10,000, 10 paid internships to work for six months at CaixaBank and access to a mentoring programme offered by Microsoft Ibérica for all winners.
 
The following were the winners for the 2020 edition:

  • María Dolores Ardura, who studied her dual degree in Biomedical Engineering and Telecommunications Systems Engineering at CEU San Pablo University, and was awarded the prize for the best academic record, winning 10,000 euros. She will also have access to a mentoring programme offered by Microsoft Spain.

The other winning students, who have access to paid internships to work for six months at CaixaBank and will benefit from a mentoring programme offered by Microsoft Spain, are:

  • Helena Xicoy, who studied her degree in Computer Engineering at the Open University of Catalonia, a degree in Human Biology at Pompeu Fabra University and a master’s in Molecular Mechanisms of Disease at Radboud University in Nijmegen, where she also received a doctorate in Biomedicine.
  • Lorena Pérez, who has a degree in Telecommunications Engineering and a degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Málaga. She is currently studying for a master’s in Telecommunications Engineering at the same university.
  • Umaima Bousdar, who studied her degree in Telecommunications Technology Engineering at the University of Málaga.
  • Alba Vicente, who studied her degree in Telecommunications Engineering at the Technical University of Valencia and is studying for a master’s in Telecommunications Engineering at the same university.
  • María de Isidro, who studied her degree in Mathematical Engineering at the Complutense University of Madrid.
  • Sandra Sánchez, who studied her degree in Telecommunications Technology Engineering at the Technical University of Madrid.
  • Nora Carreira, who studied her degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of the Basque Country.
  • Nuria Mateos, who studied her degree in Computer Engineering in Information Systems at the University of Salamanca and a master’s in Intelligent Systems at the same university.
  • Amaia Goñi, who studied her dual degree in Industrial and Automatic Electronic Engineering and Computer Engineering at the University of Deusto.
  • Elena Alcover, who studied her degree in Mathematics at the University of La Laguna and a master’s in Mathematical Engineering at Complutense University of Madrid.
